A BANYA sauna at dusk, mountains beyond

Handcrafted in South Africa

Experience the warmth of slowing down

Handcrafted outdoor saunas, made in South Africa and created for moments worth slowing down for.

More Than a Sauna

A place to step away from the pace of everyday life.

BANYA creates spaces to unwind, reconnect and enjoy time differently. Not a product to be installed and forgotten, but a reason to come back — at the start of the day, at the end of a long week, or whenever the world needs turning down.

A solid, level surface — decking, paving or compacted gravel. Allow at least 2.5 × 2.5m of floor space. We don't do ground preparation ourselves, so you'll need a third party for that. Talk to us early if you're unsure about the space.

We provide an outdoor DB board with an isolator mounted to the back of the sauna. These can be set for single phase or three phase. Your electrician will need to run the appropriate cable and breakers from your main DB board.

Wood fired gives you the ritual — the fire, the smell, the softer heat — and needs no electrical supply for the heater. Electric holds temperature precisely and is more convenient. Both use Harvia heaters.
